Simply Meditate: a relaxing 45-minute class for peace, clarity and kindness | Tuesdays 6.15pm to 7.00pm

Looking for a simple way to relax, clear your mind and enjoy a peaceful pause in your week?

Simply Meditate is a short, guided meditation class at Kadampa Meditation Centre Brisbane in Spring Hill. Each class is designed to help you unwind, settle your mind and reconnect with a kinder, more positive outlook.

The class is suitable for complete beginners as well as people who already meditate and would like a quiet, supportive space to practise.

Because the class is only 45 minutes, it fits easily into a busy schedule while still giving you time to slow down, breathe and experience the benefits of meditation.

What to expect

Simply Meditate is relaxed, welcoming and easy to follow.

Each class focuses mainly on guided meditation, with a short introduction to help you understand the purpose of the practice. The emphasis is on meditation rather than study, making this class ideal if you are looking for a peaceful, practical experience.

In the class, you’ll be guided through meditations that help you:

  • release stress and tension
  • calm busy or anxious thoughts
  • cultivate clarity and inner peace
  • develop a kinder, more compassionate heart
  • feel more centred and positive in daily life

No previous experience is needed. You can sit on a chair or cushion, and there is no need to bring anything special.

Simple guided meditations for daily life

The meditations in Simply Meditate are drawn from three beautiful Kadampa meditation collections by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche:

Meditations for Relaxation
Meditations for a Clear Mind
Meditations for a Kind Heart

These gentle, practical meditations help us discover that peace, clarity and kindness are already part of the nature of our mind. By becoming more familiar with these positive states, we can begin to carry a more peaceful and kind-hearted attitude into the rest of our week.

Is this class right for me?
