About the retreat

Do you ever think meditation would be good for you, but you struggle to get round to doing it?
Do you like the idea of meditation, but aren’t sure where to begin?
Do you suffer from stress, anxiety or negativity and feel like you could you use a little more mental peace and positivity?

You’re not alone.

Most of us know that meditation would be good for us. We know it would be great, not only for us, but also for the people around us if we were a more peaceful, positive and happy person. But it can be hard to know where to start, how to make progress and how to get into the habit of meditation.

Fortunately, meditation is something everyone can learn to do. Through meditation you will learn how to control your mind, rather than it controlling you. We all have a mind, and we can all bring our mind under control – make it peaceful and positive – and meditation in the method to do this.

Buddhist teachings provide clear instruction on how to begin and make progress in meditation, and how to integrate meditation into busy daily life. By making meditation a habit you’ll be able to develop and maintain a peaceful mind all the time, so that you can be happy all the time.

You, your family, friends and everyone you come into contact with, will benefit from your meditation practice.

At this practical and engaging retreat, you’ll learn:

  • How to develop the habit of meditation;
  • How to begin your meditation practice;
  • How to structure your meditation so that it gives maximum results;
  • How to overcome obstacles to meditation;
  • How to maintain a positive mind out of meditation, in daily life; and
  • How, through meditation, you can become the peaceful, positive, happy person you long to be.
