About the workshop

Karma

Why do things happen the way they do?

Why do some experiences repeat themselves, while others seem beyond our control?

The purpose of understanding karma is to learn how to prevent future suffering and how to create the happiness and good conditions we deeply long for. By understanding the law of karma, we begin to answer life’s many “why?” questions — and in doing so, we discover a profound sense of inner peace.

Karma is not fate or punishment. It is a liberating wisdom that empowers us to take responsibility for our experiences and to consciously shape our future. Through this understanding, we learn how to avoid the causes of suffering and create the causes of happiness.

A Special Day with Gen Kelsang Rabten

Join us for this special event with our National Spiritual Director, Gen Kelsang Rabten. Through clear, practical Buddhist teachings, Gen Rabten will guide us to a deeper understanding of karma — helping us make sense of our world, our relationships, and our own inner experiences.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Understand karma as a practical guide for daily life

  • Let go of painful patterns from the past

  • Create the causes for the future you truly want

  • Develop confidence, clarity, and peace of mind

This day is an opportunity to gain wisdom that is both deeply meaningful and immediately applicable — wisdom that gently frees us from confusion and empowers us to live with purpose and hope.
