Classes at the Spring Hill Centre

Our Centre in Spring Hill is a peaceful meditation space that provides the perfect conditions for improving your meditation practice and deepening your peace of mind. Most of the classes at the Centre are taught by our Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Rabten, an ordained Buddhist monk who has been practising Buddhism for over twenty-five years. Everybody is welcome to attend classes at the Centre. We offer a range of classes from beginners meditation classes, general classes on meditation and Buddhist philosophy through to intermediate and advanced classes . Drop-in any week.

Main Weekly Classes

These weekly classes offer an opportunity to explore Buddhist wisdom and practice in depth. Classes are suitable for beginners interested in learning more about Buddhist philosophy as well as people wanting to deepen their experience of the Buddhist path. Drop in any week. Everybody welcome.

Refresh Your Mind

Relax the mind and find some inner peace. Drop-in to the Centre for a 30-minute ‘start the week’ meditation or a 15-minute lunchtime meditation. There is no need to book. All meditations are guided.

Kids Meditation Class

with Buddhist nun Kelsang Khandro

Sunday 10 - 11am · $7

These drop-in classes introduce children to simple Buddhist teachings and meditations designed to help them develop a happy heart. Every class will emphasise loving kindness and developing a positive mind. Classes also include simple prayers, fun activities, a fruit snack and discussions relevant to their everyday experiences. Suggested age is 5 – 10 years. We ask that parents attend the class with their children.
