To be truly happy we need to find and stabilise a deep inner peace through learning to gain control over our mind. On this meditation retreat you will be guided through a special set of
simple yet profound meditations known as the Mahamudra that help us to attain a deep insight into our mind.
This retreat will be held at Kadampa Meditation Centre Brisbane in our purpose-built meditation room which has sound-proofing, purified air and comfortable seating to provide you with the very best conditions for retreat. The retreat will begin with an introductory talk at 7.30pm on Friday 23 August and conclude at 12.30pm on Sunday 25 August. Gen Kelsang Rabten is the National Spiritual Director for Kadampa Buddhism in Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Brisbane. He has trained under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for more than twenty-five years. His deep faith in Buddha’s teachings and the sincerity of his practice inspire many people to embark on a meaningful and rich spiritual life.
Everybody is welcome to attend this retreat regardless of experience. You don’t need to bring anything along to the retreat. Seating is available on chairs or on cushions on the floor.
