Immerse yourself in the meditations that help us develop a good heart on this guided retreat with the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Sydney – Gen Kelsang Lhachog.

The Retreat Topic

If we want to have loving, harmonious relationships with others we need to learn how to maintain loving minds toward them and view them in a positive light. During this retreat, visiting Teacher – Gen Kelsang Lhachog will explain and guide the meditations on love and compassion that help us to develop a good heart toward others. This retreat is a special opportunity to immerse yourself in these meditations so that your mind becomes transformed into a positive state.

The Sessions

This retreat is held at our modern urban meditation Centre in Spring Hill. The retreat will begin with an introductory talk on Friday 29 March at 7.30pm and conclude at 12.30pm on Sunday 31 March. Each session of the retreat is 1 hour long and consists of short chanted prayers sung in English, a short teaching and guided meditation. You are welcome to attend as many sessions as you like. Please book for the whole retreat or for each session you would like to attend. If you haven’t been to the Centre before, it is suggested that you arrive 5-10 minutes before the session so someone can show you around. The Teacher

Gen Kelsang Lhachog is the Resident Teacher at KMC Sydney. She is an Australian Buddhist nun who has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years. Gen Lhachog is an inspiring example of Modern Buddhism in practice. She presents Buddha’s teachings with beautiful clarity, warmth and sincerity, skilfully guiding people from all walks of life to find inner peace and lasting happiness.

More Information

Everybody is welcome to attend this retreat regardless of experience. You don’t need to bring anything along to the retreat. Seating is available on chairs or on cushions on the floor.

• $15 per session (or $10 per session for Brisbane FP students)
• $105 for whole retreat (or $70 for the whole retreat for Brisbane FP students)
