A Special Meditation Workshop with Gen Kelsang Rabten

About the Course

Others’ kindness touches us and opens our heart. It fills us with hope and faith in humanity, but so often it seems we live in a cruel and selfish world where everyone is just thinking about themselves.

We know that gratitude is an important healing mindset. If we consciously and deliberately develop it, we will start to see kindness everywhere.

Join us for this special event where Buddhist monk, Gen Kelsang Rabten, will explain  how a mind of gratitude will transform our life.

Our Teacher

The teacher of this special event is Gen Kelsang Rabten.  Gen Rabten is the National Spiritual Director of Australia, New Zeland and South East Asia; and Resident Teacher of KMC Australia and KMC Melbourne. Ordained in 1994, he has studied under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for 30 years and has taught in many centres around the world.

Gen Rabten exemplifies the essence of the modern Kadampa way of life, and brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.

What to Expect

Over three sessions, Gen Rabten will guide us to recognise and appreciate the kindness of others and how we can use our gratitude to transform our life.

We sit in comfortable chairs or a cushion on the floor if you prefer. A delicious home-made morning tea will be served during the first break to give you time to relax, absorb the teachings and to make new friends. Please bring your own lunch or take a stroll to a local cafe. Everyone is welcome.
